Here it is — The release you have been waiting for! Download your copy.

Sequel Pro 0.9.5 is jam packed with tons of new features and bug fixes. This latest build of Sequel Pro is the most polished and feature packed release so far.

As of 0.9.5, Sequel Pro now requires Mac OS X Leopard 10.5+ to run.

If you are still running Mac OS X Tiger, don’t stress, we have a Tiger build just for you. The Tiger build has been optimised for users running Mac OS X Tiger, and it is not recommended for Leopard users.

0.9.5 brings over 60 new features & tweaks.

  • The import issues experienced since 0.9.4 have been resolved.
  • Interface across all windows have been cleaned up to have a more consistent OS X look and feel
  • The preferences have been redesigned from the ground up.
  • The auto-updating framework has been updated. Avoids a number of previous problems.
  • Connection window redesigned functionality wise.
  • Query editor now has syntax colouring, line numbers, and whole host of other goodies
  • Console window has live filtering as well as export.
  • Printing now automatically paginates and supports page set up
  • Various memory leaks and bug fixes
  • … and many more

Check out the full release notes for details. Download Sequel Pro 0.9.5.

If you use Sequel Pro on a regular basis, consider donating $10 or $20 to the project.

Nice job …. this release looks really good. I especially like the Favorites redesign; it’s easier to understand now.

Awesome job Sequel Pro team! This release feels really mature. Sequel Pro is easily the most enjoyable mysql tool ive ever worked with.

Thank you so much for the Tiger version!

I was very disappointed when the latest beta release was 10.5 only.

Chris Rowe

Great improvements so far. Some really useful new features.

Am I missing something though?
There’s now a Run All button in the Query area yet I can’t seem to input more than one query, are there supposed to be tabs or is this button here ready?

RowanB

Chris Rowe: The “Run All” button runs all the queries within the Query text area – multiple queries can be separated with semicolons, which is the standard SQL syntax. (eg: “SELECT ‘one’; SELECT ‘two’;”).

This is separate from “Run Current”, which runs only the query which the text selection caret is currently positioned in.

AlanR: Unfortunately the Tiger version does require a considerable amount of effort, and can’t easily be kept up-to-date with the Leopard version, especially with interface changes. If there is substantial demand for it we’ll attempt to though :)

I was itching to try Sequel Pro after trying out Navicat for a while. I was stopped in my tracks when the SSH tunnel option appeared greyed out.

Does anyone know how to get this working via SSH? For some bizarre reason that is the only method of connection my remote server will allow.

Lisandro Grassini

Excellent job, Excellent Application. Love the improvements in the preferences look & feel, also the syntax coloring in the query window. Perhaps auto-completion in the future? ;) . Congratulations!!

Thanks for your great jobs!!

This is a great tool for mysql for mac os X!!

Fantastic, thanks for the bug fix and the favorites enhancement. It’s looking better and better each iteration. Great work.

When can we expect full support of innoDB foreign keys, it’s a major feature of SQL and it’s keeping me from using your app

I’ve been hoping someone would answer this question. I’d like SSH as well.

RowanB

Suleiman, AlanR: SSH is not yet within the application; the SSH interface elements are basically placeholders that have been migrated from CocoaMySQL. The good news is that we plan to have SSH working in 0.9.6; I’ve got the code just about running, and it should hit the nightlies in a few days time.

marc: Early support for foreign keys is in the nightlies, more coming soon!

Hey, I’d just like to drop by and say thanks for your free and really great SQL client. If only I’ve dinged 18, I would have donated to you guys.

Hi! I am a web designer from Russia. You did a very good program, a new version of the interface became more homes. But I really do not have enough opportunities edit comments in the column. Do you plan to add this functionality in the new version?

Niko

I am SO grateful to you for this tool! I’ve used CocoaMySQL for years, and always wished it would be further developed. My dreams have come true :)
Any chance you’ll be adding multi-threading to Sequel Pro? (I often work with two or three windows open, and would love to work in one window while another is refreshing or exporting)
So many thanks!

Adam

Wow guys.. I haven’t used CocoaMySQL for an age but needed it tonight. In fact it’s been so long I’ve changed computer. How surprised was I to find this?

What an improvement. Much kudos to all involved for making this so good.

Keep up the work!

Adam
